This position supports the manufacturing function by monitoring the assembled weights of the Frozen Department lines to ensure they meet the weight target and the quality standards. Tasks vary from product to product but primarily focus on activities outlined in our weight compliance procedures.
The Weight technician will take weights every hour, record weights, calculate averages and apply corrective actions following the corresponding work instruction. They will also perform visual inspection of the units for proper distribution of the topping and/or ingredients.
The Weight technician will report to the Line Performance Technician any assembled weight trend that drifts from target, remove the non-compliant units and ensure compliance to the weight control requirements. This position will be responsible for completing and maintaining all associated records and will assist in CAPA activities as needed.
Follow the work instructions for weight checks, completing a minimum of 50 weight checks per hour, recording the individual weight and calculate the average.

EDUCATION
High school Diploma or GED education.
EXPERIENCE
Must have 2-3 years of experience working in the lines.
Basic computer skills.

Ability to input numbers into Excel to determine average
Ability to understand decimal numbers.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to make decisions based on the data gathered through weighing samples
Ability to determine the appropriate correction based on numeric results.
