What to expect.

  • Under direct supervision, the Project Manager I position will be responsible for managing multiple projects.
  • The project manager will utilize standard project management tools, templates and both Waterfall and Agile methodologies deployed at Sheppard Pratt throughout the project delivery.
  • The Project Manager I will organize teams, develop project plans and schedules, manage issues, risks, budgets, schedule, and scope.
  • The PM will be responsible for communicating at all levels of the organization regarding project health, actual costs, budget, variances, risk, changes, and delivery schedule.
  • The Project Manager I is also responsible for maintaining project management and project governance standards, ensuring project manager compliance, tracking metrics, producing dashboards, and generating reports for stakeholder, sponsors, team members and senior management.
  • Working under the assistance of senior project leaders, the Project Manager I will provide support and guidance to assist other business owners and leaders with direction of deliverables and staff leadership for project delivery.
  • This role should advance to acquire the skills to function as a mentor, technical role model and serve as an example for customer service excellence.
  • This position is fully in-person in Towson, MD

What we need from you.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field from which comparable knowledge and abilities have been acquired.
  • 1 – 3 years participating in project management or business analysis environment
  • 2 years of IT experience.
  • PMP or CAPM certification is required or ability to obtain within the first 3 months upon hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively while fostering a culture of change.
  • Ability to work independently as a team leader including the ability to handle conflicting priorities.
  • Participated in vendor management, service agreements, and vendor product implementations.
  • Experience in both a cloud-based and on-premises software environment.
