How You'll Contribute to Our Success

As our Sales Support Specialist, you'll be a critical bridge between our sales team and the organization's digital infrastructure. In this key support role, you'll leverage your expertise in CRM systems and business analytics to empower our sales account managers and drive operational excellence. Serving as a trusted partner to the sales team, you'll handle a variety of day-to-day requests, from managing customer inquiries and documentation to aggregating vital business data for strategic reviews. Through your mastery of digital tools and keen analytical skills, you'll play a central role in maintaining data integrity, optimizing workflows, and providing the sales leadership team with the insights they need to make informed decisions.

What You’ll Do as a Sales Support Specialist

  • Provide Comprehensive Sales Support
    • Generate detailed reports for sales leadership on key business metrics like open orders, monthly sales, project pipeline, and sample requests
    • Handle customer document and sample requests, serving as a central point of contact
    • Liaise between the sales team and cross-functional departments including customer service, applications, finance, and global partners
  • Manage Critical Customer Information
    • Maintain customer master data, setting up new accounts and coordinating with the credit department
    • Monitor accounts receivable, work with finance to review credit needs, and process customer rebates and commissions
    • Ensure adherence to established service level agreements by collaborating with the sales force and customers
  • Oversee CRM Data Integrity
    • Enter prospect information and update pricing details in the Salesforce system
    • Enforce data quality standards and proactively prompt sales reps on expiring pricing
  • Support Special Initiatives
    • Assist sales leadership and account managers with ad-hoc projects and special requests
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, science, food science, technology, or a related field is required
  • 5 or more years of experience in a business/sales support or related role is required
  • Familiarity with CRM, SAP, Power BI, and MS Suite tools is required

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the food industry and/or within a global organization is desired
  • Salesforce CRM experience is ideal
  • Fluency in other languages such as Spanish or French is a plus
  • This person ideally would be located within the greater Milwaukee or Chicago areas; this is a remote position with opportunities to work onsite in our Milwaukee office as requested*
