Machine/Fabricating Shop Maintenance Associate

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate to support our machine and fabricating shop operations. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a proactive attitude toward preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment, CNC machines, and shop tools.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct inspections, identify potential issues, and implement preventative maintenance plans.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Mechanical skills: Proficient in machinery repair, hand tools, gears, belts, bearings, and motors.
  • Electrical troubleshooting: Familiarity with circuits, wiring, controls, and motor systems.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems: Understanding of fluid dynamics, valves, actuators, and pressure systems.
  • Basic understanding of CNC and machine maintenance.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Preferred Certifications:

  • OSHA 10/30-Hour General Industry Certification
  • Maintenance Technician Certification
  • Electrical or Mechanical Certification
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems Training
  • CNC or Machine Maintenance Training
