Field Service Technician – Sterilization Equipment Specialist

Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Install and service sterilization and surgical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
- Troubleshoot and repair issues involving mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems
- Provide remote technical assistance and diagnostics for healthcare clients
- Stay up to date with required certifications and product training
- Handle the installation and upkeep of fiber optics, low-voltage, and AV cabling
- Promote service solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth
- Submit service reports, expenses, preventative maintenance logs, and other documentation on schedule
- Travel required throughout much of Michigan and parts of Northern Indiana
Field Service Technician Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license with a clean record and access to a vehicle capable of towing a trailer and transporting equipment
- Proficiency in reading schematics and site plans
- Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical (AC/DC), steam, and plumbing systems, as well as AV setups
- Strong problem-solving and repair abilities
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and credentialing process
- Prior experience in medical device servicing or a related technical field is preferred
- Flexibility to accommodate emergency service calls, occasional overnights, and limited weekend work to meet hospital and OR schedules
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently
Schedule & Pay
- Monday-Friday, in the range of 5am-5pm depending on service call schedule
- Some weekends and/or overnight travel required for large projects
- $60,000-$100,000/year DOE
