General Information
This position is for a classroom American Sign Language Interpreter.
Minimum qualifications
Qualified candidates must have have completed a formal Interpreter Training Program (ITP) affiliated with an accredited educational institution AND obtain or maintain interpreter certification in compliance with Minnesota¿s Educational Interpreter QA Law, including current interpreter/ transliterator certification through Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or a comparable state certification recognized by the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education, such as the EIPA.
New graduates of an interpreter/transliterator program affiliated with an accredited educational institution will be considered if granted a two-year provisional certificate by the State of Minnesota Education Commissioner. During the two-year provisional period, the interpreter/transliterator must develop and implement an education plan in collaboration with a mentor and obtain the required certifications under the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 122A.31, Subdivision 1, relating to American Sign Language/English Interpreters.

This is a 10 Month position.
Pay range for this position is: $21.94 - $32.02 EA1
Pay range for this position is: $25.04 - $39.31 EA2
Maximum hiring step EA1 = step fourteen (14)
Maximum hiring step EA2 = step fifteen (15)
