DESCRIPTION:

Set up, assemble, calibrate and test Duragauge industrial gauges and ensure accuracy to design specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assemble, calibrate and finish a variety of gauges.
  2. Use common industrial hand tools including pneumatic and manual screwdrivers, ring wrenches, etc.
  3. Calibrate gauges to master gauge accuracy.
  4. Exchange parts if necessary to product acceptable product.
  5. Requires general supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and work instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to use a PC to enter data and perform transactions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to calibrate pressure gauges.
