Responsible for overseeing a team that works to enhance the functionality, efficiency, and integration of systems. This position leads the analysis, design, and implementation of business systems and ensures they align with organizational goals and healthcare regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise a team of business systems analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to ensure effective delivery of projects and support.
  • Lead the analysis of business processes, workflows, and system requirements to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinical, administrative, and IT teams, to gather requirements, define business needs, and design effective solutions.
  • Develop and document functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and other documentation to support system development and enhancements.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee the resolution of system-related issues and incidents, providing escalation support and guidance to the business systems analyst team.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and collect feedback to identify areas for further improvement and optimization.
  • Supervise the development of reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into business performance, system utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all business systems and related processes comply with healthcare regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), and organizational policies.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance service delivery, patient care, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in business systems analysis or programming, preferably in a healthcare setting required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, including process modeling, requirements analysis, and system integration.
  • Proven experience in managing software implementation projects, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, healthcare information systems, and clinical software applications.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, data security standards (e.g., HIPAA), and quality improvement frameworks.
