We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep experience in automation frameworks, strong coding skills, and a good understanding of the P&C insurance domain. This role involves leading automation strategy, developing scalable test solutions, and ensuring high software quality across Guidewire and related insurance applications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain automation frameworks (GT:UI / TestCafé Hybrid Framework) for insurance applications.
  • Develop test scripts using JavaScript with data stored in JSON files, and generate custom HTML reports.
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, and run scripts from CI servers.
  • Use Ignite tool for generating Page Objects and write reusable JavaScript functions.
  • Maintain and execute automated test suites, investigate test failures, and identify application vs. script issues.
  • Understand BDD (Gherkin) specifications and write corresponding automation test scripts.
  • Contribute to version control using Git/Bitbucket, follow push/pull standards and maintain script quality.
  • Collaborate with Dev, QA, DevOps, and Business teams to ensure functional coverage and early defect detection.
  • Gain a working knowledge of P&C insurance workflows to align test scenarios with domain-specific logic.
  • Define and evolve test automation strategy; continuously evaluate tools and frameworks to enhance test efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years in QA, with 3+ years in automation leadership roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript or equivalent language.
  • Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium.
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain automation in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of cloud (AWS/Azure), container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Experience working on P&C insurance products or Guidewire-based implementations is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of test reporting, defect tracking, and QA best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
