Avalara is looking for a Senior Workday Global Integrations Developer. Let's be honest—enterprise finance software doesn't usually get people's hearts racing. But transforming the financial backbone of a global company with automation, agility, and cutting-edge based on some of the best enterprise ERPs like Workday Financials? That's a different story. You will report to the VP of Engineering.

This individual must reside in the SF Bay area. Not a hybrid role but will require onsite periodically.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Build smarter. You'll create Connectors using combination of Workday Extend, Avalara Integration Studio, and cloud native micro-services that make everything just work. We're talking streamlined systems that talk to Avalara's suite of compliance products in real time.
• Architect the future. Lead design efforts for scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. We don't just want working systems—we want future-ready systems.
• Collaborate across borders. You'll work hand-in-hand with partners all over the world, connecting business needs with technical excellence. Communication and clarity are your secret weapons.
• Be the calm in the storm. When bugs hit or requirements shift, you stay cool. You debug, test, train, and support like a expert.
• Make it better. Whether it's a better process, better performance, or a better user experience, you're always on the lookout for ways to level up.
• Proactively identify opportunities to integrate AI into features, systems, or services.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Minimum of 6 years of Workday development experience, with expertise in Workday Financials
• Proficiency in Workday Studio, Workday Extend/Built on Workday, and enterprise integrations
• Cross-functional configuration knowledge across Financial modules (Procurement, Projects, AP, AR, etc.)
• Experience with change management, user training, and technical documentation
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate or improve software development processes and Prompt Engineering best practices

Pay Range Details

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Colorado $132,400-$218,400 (annually)

Washington $132,400-$241,400 (annually)

California $132,400-$264,500 (annually)

NYC $146,400-$264,500 (annually)

The pay range above is the general base pay range for you in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on several factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role.
