Azure Data Manager for Energy, ADME, helps Energy companies gain actionable insights, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate time to market on the enterprise-grade, cloud-based Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU®) Platform service. It supports innovation with a flexible, open energy platform that developers can build upon and customize.
ADME engineering team is seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer - Azure Storage to be the Microsoft engineering lead and technical representative in the OSDU community. This individual will contribute to the OSDU code base through a structured open-source development process, ensuring quality, compliance, and interoperability across the platform.
This role requires a deep commitment to open-source software (OSS) principles and a proven track record of contributing to or maintaining OSS projects. Familiarity with the OSDU platform is highly desirable, especially in contexts involving data ingestion, platform architecture, or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) applications in Energy or industrial domains.

Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
