We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft.

Technical Trainer – Bell Amarillo

This position is responsible for a wide range of training activities, to include delivering technical training, advising and developing training materials, and ensuring the accuracy of training records to support the FLRAA program.

The role also involves supporting manufacturing leaders manage their direct reports technical skill development and timely fulfillment of training requirements.

This position is onsite.

What you’ll be doing as a Technical Trainer:

  • Being part of Global Tech Training team, provide Bell manufacturing US employees with world class job skills, manufacturing process, procedures and standards and specification compliance training.
  • Conduct classroom technical instruction; develop courses and training aides to meet Bell requirements.
  • Improve, maintain, and update the technical accuracy of existing course material using Bell internal documentation.
  • Implement/identify new techniques/technologies to improve the quality and delivery of technical training course materials.
  • Monitor Learning Management System data to ensure tech training records accuracy and technical requirements timely fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with manufacturing leaders; analyze research and identify solutions to issues related to manufacturing and production skills deficits,
  • Development and delivery of required technical training to resolve impact to the production effort.
  • Mentor/ Train ad hoc SME Technical Instructors as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role:

  • Written/oral presentations and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems preferred.
  • Military or commercial aviation training/trainer experience, or manufacturing / industry production direct employee skills training experience

What you need to be successful:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in aviation related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as technical instructor or trainer.
    • Demonstrated success in a technical field will be considered in lieu of formal experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in aviation electrical related work.
    • This includes wire harness assembly and repair, solder and crimp terminations, and wire harness routing requirements.
  • Additional experience in fabrication and/or assembly of aviation composite materials and structures preferred.
