As a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d), you will take technical ownership of Java-based application development and play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture of our logistics solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the full software lifecycle from concept to production while continuously improving our systems through the integration of modern tools and technologies. This role is ideal for someone with a strong architectural mindset, hands-on Java expertise, and a passion for agile development.

How you create impact

• Take technical ownership of application development with a strong focus on Java.
• Design and evolve service-oriented architectures tailored to the logistics industry.
• Drive the full development lifecycle: ideation, design, prototyping, implementation, and production integration.
• Collaborate with product owners and domain experts across business units to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance system performance and maintainability.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Java technologies such as Spring Boot, JPA (Hibernate), JUnit, and Mockito, and it is good to have in experience with Swing and/or SWT for desktop application development.

What we would like you to bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong background in software architecture and Java development.
• Proficiency with development tools like Maven, Jenkins, Git, and ideally IntelliJ IDEA, Docker, OpenShift, or AWS.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to understand complex systems quickly.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative, knowledge-sharing mindset.
