Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Manufacturing systems engineering under Kuiper prod-ops is responsible for delivering test software, test hardware and test frameworks that improve speed and quality of testing of satellite components. We partner with engineering and production teams to bring reliability and repeatability to our test systems, improve throughput and accelerate the transition. We are seeking a experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead our Testing and Automation initiatives. This role will be crucial in driving the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of our testing processes and automation frameworks across multiple projects and teams.

Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. An ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that our testing and automation initiatives deliver measurable value. They will be responsible for building and executing a roadmap that modernizes our testing infrastructure while fostering a culture of quality-first development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive testing and automation strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing automated testing solutions.
  • Set up and enforce mechanisms for ensure testing is integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from the early stages.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance the testing and automation ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align testing efforts with business objectives and customer needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
