As a Senior Program Manager for Amazon Inbound Transportation's Shipper Experience (AIT-SX) team, you will lead strategic initiatives to enhance our supply chain and transportation networks. You'll leverage your project management expertise and analytical capabilities to drive improvements in shipper experience, focusing on reducing defects and optimizing transportation management processes. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver industry-leading shipping solutions that benefit our partners.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end program management for cross-functional initiatives
  • Develop and implement program strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Conduct data analysis to identify opportunities and measure program success
  • Lead stakeholder communication and executive presentations
  • Establish and track KPIs for program portfolio performance
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams and external partners
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Manage resource allocation across multiple projects and initiatives

A day in the life

Your day starts with reviewing program metrics and KPIs to identify areas requiring immediate attention. You'll lead cross-functional team meetings to align on project priorities and remove blockers. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with technical teams to enhance transportation management tools, analyze shipper feedback to identify improvement opportunities, and prepare executive updates on key initiatives. You may spend time mentoring team members, conducting data analysis to support decision-making, and coordinating with global stakeholders to ensure project success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Experience owning end-to-end long-term strategic planning or capacity planning initiatives
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Experience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
