Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a medium-sized metal fabrication facility as a Material Handler. The role involves working with a variety of stainless steel and aluminum products in a clean, non-AC environment. Training will be provided on all machines, making it an ideal opportunity for those with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (15K sit down) to move beams and tubing.
• Occasionally load and unload trucks.
• Perform cycle counting without an inventory system.
• Engage in material handling, shipping and receiving, and general labor tasks.
• Participate in order picking and packing activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience with forklift operation (certification is a plus).
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High initiative and ability to work as a team player.
• No specific certification is needed, but forklift certification is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized metal fabrication facility with a team of 7, alongside 50 people on-site. The environment is non-AC but clean, with work uniforms provided. Initial candidates will work 4/10 shifts starting at 7 am, while others will have a weekend shift schedule. The dress code includes covered shoes, a work shirt, and jeans, with no hats or jewelry allowed.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
