About the role

• Our Infrastructure team is integrated in the Digital Technology (DT) department.
• As an IoT Infrastructure Engineer, you will ensure the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of the organization’s IoT infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that support IoT deployments.
• You will be accountable for:
  • Designing and deploying IoT infrastructure to support connected devices and applications.
  • Managing and maintaining IoT platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT solutions with existing IT systems.
  • Implementing security measures to protect IoT devices and data.
  • Managing IoT implementations and assisting with site modernizations to allow site managers to generate insights from data.
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of IoT networks and devices.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving IoT-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Supporting IoT data collection, processing, and analytics workflows.
  • Documenting IoT infrastructure designs and configurations for future reference and support.
  • Evaluating emerging IoT technologies and recommending improvements to enhance capabilities.
• We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About you

• Relevant education degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Relevant work experience in IoT Infrastructure Management or IT System Engineering.
• Relevant experience in an industrial environment with IoT use cases.
• Competencies:
  • Expert in designing, deploying and configuring robust IoT infrastructure solutions to support seamless connectivity and data flow in industrial and enterprise environments.
  • Deep knowledge of IoT communication protocols, to enable efficient device integration and data exchange.
  • Extensive expertise in ITIL processes, as well as installing soft- and hardware to process data locally and optimize system performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in integrating IoT platforms with cloud services, such as AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or for scalable data management.
  • Experienced in ensuring the security and continuity of IoT systems through the implementation of encryption, access controls, and compliance with standards such as IEC 62443.
  • Proficient in managing IoT device provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management to ensure continuous and reliable operation.

About the pay and benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 35 600 euros to 48 700 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
