3rd Shift 1st Class CNC
Sets up and operates various types of CNC to manufacture parts to close tolerances. Performs operations on individual or quantity production, tooling or experimental parts. Selects mounts and aligns various machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling. Sets and adjusts speed, feeds and depths of cut. Edits programs on CNC equipment. Writes programs for research and development and new part processes. Proficient in reading blue prints and precision measurement devises. Conducts inspection to ensure parts or assemblies meet drawing specifications and tolerances. Performs routine maintenance on the equipment. Maintains a clean and orderly machine and work area.
In the dye head rebuild area the 1st class operator will maintain inventory, inventory records, recognize cost, issue purchase orders to outside vendors, rebuild dye heads and maintain (5s+1) rebuild area.
