The Quality Assurance Analyst will support the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of testing activities for proprietary software applications developed by our Engineering teams. This role involves functional, regression, integration testing, and post-release validation. The QA Analyst will collaborate closely with business units and subject matter experts to develop and execute test cases, manage test data, and validate expected results.

This is a remote role within the US.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create, execute, and maintain test cases for new and modified functionality.
  • Develop complex SQL scripts from scratch.
  • Perform baseline, regression, functional/integration, and post-release testing on assigned application modules.
  • Quickly respond to and test fixed defects.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects found during testing.
  • Collaborate with the development team and fellow QA members to analyze functionality and resolve issues.
  • Deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Partner with the Test Automation team to identify and develop test cases suitable for automation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years of experience in application testing, including creating test plans, writing and executing test cases, and managing defects.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and tools, especially for web-based applications.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and scripts to create or validate test data.
  • 3+ years of experience with relational database design, maintenance, and testing.
  • Practical experience with applying AI tools to improve manual testing / testcase coverage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Background in the healthcare or insurance billing industry.

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $68,696 - $114,313
