Job Summary

Conducts financial analysis of the enterprise's financial performance and is responsible for executing strategic projects that support the overall strategies of Corporate Treasury. This role also works towards achieving goals related to improving documentation and increasing automation in all primary and secondary Treasury functions. The Treasury Analyst role will support Synovus’s relationship profitability model, Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies and validation framework. As part of a lean but influential team of analysts, the Treasury Analyst contributes to high-impact projects, delivering actionable insights.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts ad hoc financial analyses to aid senior management in the decision-making process impacting both the short-term and long-term financial stability of the company.
  • Support Synovus’s relationship profitability model to review and refresh assumptions, partner with LOB and tech teams to perform model enhancements and communicate changes to all LOB executives and bank users of the application.
  • Run, maintain, and enhance the monthly FTP validation process. Perform variance analysis and investigate flagged accounts or pool portfolios. Partner with the ALM team to investigate and communicate changes.
  • Participates in performing specialized financial or planning functions such as reporting, budgeting and analysis. Prepares, maintains, analyzes and reports on organizational, business unit or departmental budgets as requested.
  • Conducts analyses and determines various input assumptions for LOB management and Treasury stakeholders, including loan and deposit portfolio analytics.
  • Partner with LOB and Treasury stakeholders to enhance existing reporting and build new, strategic reporting.
  • Interact with the LOB to support profitability ,enhance documentation, and facilitate banker pricing.
  • May cross train with others within Finance, as appropriate.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Minimum Experience:

  • Two years of financial analysis experience or an equivalent combination of enhanced education and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of data management and report generation.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers on various levels.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of enterprise planning systems and relationship pricing models.
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Finance degree is preferred
