Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced IT Testing Engineer III to join our Quality Assurance team. This role requires strong leadership in planning, executing, and improving test processes for complex systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA testing and will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions through effective testing strategies, team coordination, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive Test Plans and Test Strategies for multiple project phases and functional areas.
  • Develop and tailor test approaches to suit specific system/application requirements.
  • Participate in defining test conditions and ensure complete coverage of requirements.
  • Set up and maintain test environments and test data for successful execution.
  • Execute manual and automation tests as per the Test Plan; utilize Mainframe TSO and DB2 for manual batch testing where required.
  • Conduct root cause analysis in collaboration with development teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Track project testing progress and prepare project management metrics and status reports.
  • Highlight process improvements, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Manage the defect management lifecycle during the testing phase, ensuring proper documentation, tracking, retesting, and closure.
  • Suggest, create, or enhance test cases as needed for full coverage.
  • Participate in peer reviews of test cases and test plans to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and contribute to the testing roadmap.
  • Publish regular test status reports and metrics to project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resolution of issues that impact testing progress.
  • Support the client during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) under the guidance of the Test Lead.
  • Coordinate and support training for new QA team members.
  • Actively participate in test status calls and project discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with a strong focus on test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Proven experience with Mainframe TSO and DB2 for manual batch testing.
  • Strong expertise in developing Test Strategies and Test Plans for complex systems.
  • Hands-on experience with defect management and root cause analysis.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of testing tools and frameworks.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and mentoring team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience coordinating UAT support and client interaction.
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in QA.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $101,000.
