The IT Application Developer III / Share Point Developer will:

  • Independently perform the most complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved applications, processes, or techniques;
  • Contribute to all phases of a project, including systems analysis, program design, development, and implementation;
  • Serve as a liaison between client partners, IT, project managers, and other stakeholders in planning and building software solutions.

How does it get done?

The IT Application Developer III / Share Point Developer is responsible for:

  • Proposing, conceptualizing, designing, implementing and developing solutions for difficult and complex applications independently;
  • Working on projects that may span a broad range of applications and/or require expertise in multiple technical environments and business areas;
  • Making complex configurations/modifications to Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software systems/products (e.g. PeopleSoft, ArcGis, WordPress) and manage all aspects of the system/product to include and not limited to installation, backup, data recovery, security, clustering and establishing system utilization standards;
  • Accountability for application security, validation, evaluation and implementation;
  • Developing, executing, and documenting test plans;
  • Setting up and maintaining the test environments;
  • Assessing client needs by utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes);
  • Analyzing client operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to uncover opportunities for improvements;
  • Leading or participating in project planning processes;
  • Creating and sharing development estimates and operational requirements to enable accurate planning with realistic timelines;
  • Writing and communicating business requirements and functional specifications for the implementation of client solutions;
  • Reviewing the physical design of existing systems for optimizing performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of modifications;
  • Reviewing technical design specifications developed by junior analysts/developers;
  • Working as a project or team lead and provide technical direction to lower-level team members and mentor lower-level applications developers;
  • Participating in the identification of continuity/ disaster recovery risks and mitigation plans;
  • Developing reports and presentations for senior management.

  • The Health Care Authority (HCA) staff, contractors, clients, and other state agencies.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has:

  • Three (3) years or more experience with Salesforce and RPA technologies;
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports;
  • Trailhead Badges/ Super Badges;
  • Salesforce Certification;
  • Demonstrated continued personal & professional development;
  • Experience in the Salesforce community;
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, Flex, ASP, SQL, Java or C++, REST and SOAP-based web services.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering, or similar technical degree and four (4) years of experience in software programming. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.

Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Travel statewide is required.
