This role will be office centric requiring working in the office four days per week in the locations listed on the requisition.
Support the Deposits organization by shaping Truist’s competitive positioning, strategic direction, and tactical execution to drive measurable performance outcomes. Contribute to investment decision-making and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and progress toward key objectives. Lead strategic initiatives by assessing and advancing projects, programs, and transformation efforts of varying scope—particularly those focused on growth. This includes facilitating the Deposits Strategy Plan, setting annual priorities and business goals, and driving business transformation initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leads and drives strategic initiatives: Develops and implements strategies to achieve Truist's mission and objectives. Translates ideas into initiatives with specifications and functional requirements, supported by research and development. Delivers solutions through business case development, sourcing, financial approval, and risk management. Interfaces across the organization to design, present, and in some cases, implement initiatives. Leads change, influences leadership, and drives initiatives through multiple channels and levels.
2. Thought leadership and communication: Serves as a key contact, providing thought leadership to all levels of the organization. Communicates success to senior leadership and others with concise communication to align strategy intent with optimization.
3. Project and program management: Manages strategic programs to ensure long-term sustainability. Engages and collaborates with internal cross-functional partners, stakeholders, and business partners. Ensures effective regulatory, legal, compliance, change management, sourcing, risk, and quality management.
4. Strategic planning and analysis: Evaluates future trends, the external environment, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks. Develops recommendations for executive leadership and supports the establishment of annual priorities for the 5-year strategic plan. Supports the Deposits strategic planning process and aligns with corporate strategies. Contributes to long-term plans that drive operational and financial results.
5. Performance and stakeholder collaboration: Oversees the performance of the consumer Deposits portfolio, including client experience and long-term growth. Identifies market share, wallet share, and incremental segments. Collaborates with stakeholders to create cross-functional alignment towards the vision and strategy. Builds relationships to influence and drive successful outcomes.
6. Cross-functional initiatives: Directs broad, cross-functional strategic initiatives to improve the consumer Deposits operating model, product set, marketing approach, sales process, and client service model. Focuses on optimizing products/services, market position, experience, compliance, and financial return in alignment with corporate strategies. Maintains strong working relationships with senior leaders across the company to drive effective outcomes in a heavily matrixed environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major with a strong academic record, or equivalent education and related training
2. 10+ years of work experience within Banking or Financial Services
3. 5+ years of experience in a staff role such as product management, product strategy, analytics or marketing.
4. Outstanding influencing, partnership-building and collaboration skills with proven ability to drive strategic change on major projects.
5. Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills - ability to generate actionable insight and recommendations from complex analytics and large data sets. Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
6. Demonstrated success working within and leading cross-functional teams of senior leaders without formal authority
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to succinctly and clearly convey conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership.
8. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities within a fast paced, results-oriented environment and make decisions on where to focus efforts
9. Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy in ambiguous and changing situations to manage results and meet deadlines with superior quality.
10. Demonstrated ability to identify and manage key risks and to work effectively with risk leaders.
11. Ability to guide and manage third party vendors on matters including contract negotiations, continuous improvements, ongoing monitoring and partnership activities
12. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
13. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree
2. 7+ years combined experience in consumer banking, small business banking, debit, or payments
3. Broad and diverse experience in marketing, finance, acquisitions, product development and analytics
4. Broad experience across channels, including branch leadership experience.
5. Leadership experience in the Product Management lifecycle including idea generation, developing, implementing and managing products and services
6. Experience providing leadership and guidance to analytics efforts
7. Project Management experience
The annual base salary for this position is $140,000- $155,000.
