JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Structural Mechanic IV - 2nd Shift

PAY RATE: $32.18/hour

Summary:

  • Independently performs a variety of structural assembly operations in a team-oriented environment, using required tools, prints, and specifications to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Assists and mentors team members to ensure consistent performance and continuous improvement.
  • Perform complex structural assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting operations to meet specifications
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to fabricate and install parts and assemblies
  • Ensure all work meets internal and FAA quality standards; coordinate with Inspection and complete required documentation
  • Use specialized tools (e.g., riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, shavers) and remove fasteners without structural damage
  • Apply sealants, adhesives, and solvents per standard operating procedures
  • Check all completed work to ensure defect-free assemblies before final inspection
  • Train and mentor team members; develop methods and shop aids to improve efficiency and resolve installation challenges
  • Complete rework and repairs per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs to ensure conformity
  • Plan and organize workloads to meet or exceed goal hours and production schedules
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas; support 5S, Lean, and safety initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records/logs (MIRs, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs)

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 6+ years of structural assembly experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents
  • Skilled in close-tolerance work and use of specialized tools and measuring devices
  • Proficient with computers; experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
  • Q-stamp certification preferred
  • Strong mathematical and dimensional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in confined or elevated areas
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • English proficiency (read, write, speak, and understand)
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
