Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating machinery to accurately process materials according to work order specifications in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with band saws and forklifts, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to read tape measures. Applicants must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and be eager to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Operate band saws to cut steel and other materials ranging from 4'-20' long.
  • Use sit-down forklifts to transport materials safely within the facility.
  • Read and interpret tape measures accurately for material processing.
  • Perform visual quality control checks to ensure product standards.
  • Apply metal to customer orders and process materials according to specifications.
  • Maintain processing equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Accurately complete information entry and documentation tasks.
  • Participate in training sessions and work with experienced trainers until proficient.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating band saws and forklifts.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform visual quality checks.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in paperwork management.
  • Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfortable working on feet in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.

Work Environment

Work in a large raw material supplier facility with over 60 employees on the floor. The facility is fast-paced and involves storing, cutting, and shipping materials to customers. Dress code is casual and safety-oriented. Shifts include 2nd Shift from 12:15pm-8:45pm Monday-Friday or 2:30pm-1am Monday-Thursday, and 3rd Shift from 4am-2:30pm Friday-Monday or 4am-4:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
