Job Title: Fabricator/Assembler

Job Description

A local manufacturer in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Assembler to join their 1st shift team. The role involves working in a dynamic environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize computers to track production orders effectively.
  • Measure and mark steel accurately for machine operations.
  • Read and interpret production documents efficiently.
  • Operate drill presses and saws with precision.
  • Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Skilled in using tape measures for accurate measurements.
  • Experience in machine operation, including drill presses and saws.
  • Strong mechanical assembly and fabrication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with grinding and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques.

Work Environment

This position is located in a small, clean job shop in Indianapolis. The facility is experiencing growth due to recent acquisition by Alliance Machine Systems, offering a dynamic and expanding work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
