Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced CAD developer to join our MBE/PLM team, to help develop new capabilities that will transform how GE Aerospace designs and builds our next generation aircraft engines. In this role, you will be responsible for design, development, test, implementation, and supporting of NX custom applications, configuration, customization, and services, that enable a Model Based Enterprise and create a true Digital Thread flow of information.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate requests for enhancements and determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration
  • Code complex/integrated customizations and/or solutions
  • Provide support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality
  • Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, Security, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions
  • Develop new and enhance existing applications
  • Document technical design and system changes
  • Review technical designs to ensure compliance with organizational standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR associate’s degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience

Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience developing custom CAD applications

Desired Characteristics

  • Use of UFUNC and NX-Open APIs for development of custom CAD applications, with focus on architecting reusable code components with good knowledge of .NET & MFC.
  • Good hands-on exposure to NX-Open API development with NX manager, ITK / SOA programming.
  • Strong knowledge of C / C++ & C#.
  • Good knowledge of NX.
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. CGI, Perl, Python)
  • Good hands-on exposure working with IDE (Visual Studio, Eclipse)
  • Knowledge of Model Based Enterprise and Manufacturing concepts.
  • Basic understanding of Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) configuration and customization.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes and test-driven development.
