Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will have the opportunity to work in one of three distinct assembly departments. We are currently seeking skilled individuals for openings in both the 1st and 2nd shifts. The 1st shift operates from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and the 2nd shift runs from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a 15% shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly tasks in departments focused on epoxy machine operations, soldering, and medical assembly.
• Work with hand and power tools to assemble brakes and clutches used in medical devices, farm equipment, and for government use.
• Follow blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.
• Maintain attention to detail while assembling products with up to 300-400 variations.
• Utilize calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.
• Keep the work area clean and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing gloves to prevent oil and adhesive contact.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• 6+ months of experience with measuring tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude and inclination, especially in hobby auto mechanics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and electronic assembly.
• Soldering skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay focused on tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $25.00/hr.
