The pay range is $92,000.00 - $166,000.00

A role in Finance Capabilities means partnering with Finance, Technology, and cross-functional leaders to co-create solutions that maximize business value and enable key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and for the experiences we create for our guests. Truly an owner and expert of Finance and our capabilities, you will set the vision, align on the roadmap and mobilize teams to deliver needed outcomes. Given most strategies have a Finance impact, you will also serve as a trusted resource to guide other enterprise partners in their solutions to ensure the success and integrity of end-to-end deliverables.

The Finance Strategy & Operations team within Finance Capabilities is focused on advancing Target and Finance’s strategy by driving strategic alignment and enabling seamless delivery across our portfolio of products, capabilities and priorities. Our team is comprised of three arms – Strategic Planning, Priority Enablement, and Product Operations. Each team partners closely with each other and our partners across Finance, Finance Capabilities, Technology, and the rest of Target. We work horizontally to support the Finance Capability verticals, enabling capability-aligned teams and allowing them to drive greater outcomes.

As a Sr. Manager, Finance - Strategy & Operations that sits on the Priority Enablement part of the team, your focus will be on managing our largest and most complex cross-functional priorities to ensure effective and efficient delivery. This will include program management, operational support to advance our priorities, and advancing the Priority Enablement arm of the team more broadly. As the team continues to grow and evolve you’ll also be given opportunities to stretch into new experiences that advance the team more broadly.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Work with multiple teams teams to define, manage, and track priority objectives, key results, timelines, and overall implementation plans.
  • Manage and track cross team dependencies associated with those commitments.
  • Identify, track and remediate delivery risks, actively helping resolve them and escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Provide proactive visibility and effectively communicate of priority targets, commitments and associated outcomes and progress, up to senior leadership levels.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Planning and Product Operations to develop and optimize routines, tools, and processes.
  • Encourage a culture of team-driven decision making and commitment.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-team planning sessions to support predictable delivery of outcomes.

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of program management or similar work that is focused on priority delivery
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology across Sr. Leadership, Product, Technology and business teams
  • Ability to influence peers, partners, and senior leaders to find common ground, push for consistency where possible and navigate competing interests (with the ability to effectively facilitate cross-functional conversations through all levels of leadership).
  • Strong ability to self-organize and lead through ambiguity
  • Curiosity and passion for problem solving

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
