Job Description

The material handler plays a crucial role in setting up production lines by ensuring the correct materials are sourced from the warehouse. This role involves verifying inventory accuracy and ensuring purchasing has the necessary items on order to complete production tasks. The individual will engage in functions such as receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. Additionally, they will perform inventory cycle counts using the ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Set up production lines with correct materials from the warehouse.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and coordinate with purchasing for missing items.
  • Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
  • Pick and fill orders from the warehouse.
  • Pack and ship orders efficiently.
  • Manage, organize, and retrieve stock within the warehouse.
  • Complete inventory cycle counts using the ERP system.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with RF scanner.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Strong inventory management skills.
  • Material handling expertise.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a material handling role within a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ year of experience working with an ERP or inventory system, including order pulling and receiving inventory.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP software is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is smaller and encourages a collaborative spirit among the team of about four people. The team is fun and dynamic, making it essential for candidates to have a good personality. After training, most work will be done independently, requiring self-motivation. The role involves standing most of the day in a professional setting. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
