You'll be at the heart of our supply chain, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and accurately to keep our production processes running smoothly. Position Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for specialized tasks in manufacturing to assure that production lines have an adequate supply of components and work cell uptime is maximized.

Location: Kalamazoo, MI

What you will be doing:

• Wrap and stage finished good pallets in warehouse
• Provide components to each work center along route
• Remove cardboard / trash from work centers each shift
• Fill hoppers with caps and jars, when necessary and available
• Assist team in line clearance activities, when necessary and available
• Lift heavy items and operate forklift, pallet mover, and/or order processor/selector
• Ability to wear fall protection, as needed, and comply with fall protection standards
• Responsible for 5S and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related to keeping a clean and safe work environment
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as documented and trained
• Will perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Skills you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift, push and/or pull, up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to speak, read, and write (legibly) in the English language
• Must have basic computer skills
• Ability to be respirator trained
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable and maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to clearly document required information
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as documented and trained
• Experience with working in chemical manufacturing, preferred
• Ability to work overtime as required
