Job Summary

The Data Management Engineering team is embarking on a transformative journey to define, enable, and drive our data strategy. We aim to engage with partners across technology, data, business, and operations to develop and deliver business outcomes.

Our team is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join as Machine Learning Engineer, Associate Vice President (AVP), as part of the Data Management Engineering Team under Enterprise Data & Data Capabilities. This role will help define data solutions and capabilities in line with the overall strategy of technology and business, while advancing a strong culture of data management. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in engineering projects, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure seamless integration of data management systems across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data management strategies, best practices, and innovative technologies, including data virtualization, data pipelines, data consumption, and reporting with modern data platforms and ecosystems.

Major Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions using cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Develop and implement scalable Generative AI systems including LLM-based applications.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML projects—from data ingestion and model training to deployment and monitoring.
  • Integrate Agentic AI frameworks to enable autonomous, goal-driven agents capable of complex decision-making.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI frameworks.
  • Partner with technology peers to promote common architecture patterns and practices across the enterprise.
  • Create and provide technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in machine learning and AI systems development.
  • 7+ years in solution design, architecture, engineering, and/or development.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Firsthand experience with GenAI models (e.g., GPT, Claude, PaLM, or similar).
  • Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Solid understanding of MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML, model versioning, and model monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with vector databases (preferred).
  • Understanding of responsible AI and model interpretability (preferred).
  • Experience working in agile development environments (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in the Banking & Financial Services sector from a technology and/or data perspective (preferred).

The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
