Launchpad is part of Box’s Experience Platform organization and owns the foundational front-end infrastructure used by dozens of product teams across the company. From design systems, to internationalization frameworks, to frontend instrumentation and developer tooling – we make it possible for teams to build great products faster, with quality and compliance built in.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who’s excited to solve complex technical problems at scale, contribute to internal tools used across the company, and shape the front-end developer experience at Box.

WHAT YOU'LL DO?

• Build and evolve Blueprint, Box’s design system, by delivering robust, reusable, and accessible UI components and tooling.
• Develop and maintain Moji, our internal internationalization and localization framework, ensuring Box products are globally ready and FedRAMP compliant.
• Contribute to internal instrumentation frameworks, including product usage analytics integration and frontend performance metrics.
• Participate in the development of automation and developer tooling (e.g., pipelines, usage tracking, testing infrastructure) to help product teams adopt Launchpad solutions efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to align cross-functional needs and deliver reusable infrastructure that scales across Box.
• Take full ownership of components, frameworks, or subdomains, from architecture to implementation and long-term maintenance.
• Influence the direction of frontend architecture and tooling at Box and advocate for best practices in performance, accessibility, and testing.

WHO YOU ARE:

• You have 6+ years of experience as a professional software engineer, with a strong focus on front-end technologies.
• You are proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, and have hands-on experience building applications or libraries using React (or similar frameworks).
• You have experience developing or maintaining design systems, UI component libraries, or front-end frameworks used by multiple teams.
• You care deeply about developer experience, and enjoy building internal tools, automation, and infrastructure that make others more productive.
• You’re comfortable working across the stack when needed (e.g., Jenkins pipelines, simple Node.js scripting, testing/validation automation).
• You have a strong system-thinking mindset – you think beyond features and consider maintainability, scalability, and long-term impact.
• You’re a clear communicator and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
• You enjoy working across teams, aligning stakeholders, and finding shared solutions.
• Experience working in mid-to-large scale tech organizations is a strong plus.
• Bonus: You care about accessibility, localization, performance, and testing – and see them as integral to great engineering.

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
