POSITION SUMMARY
Assists in age specific perioperative care and preparation of Vascular Imaging patient by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the hospital. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Provides assistance in emergency as well as elective and scheduled cases. Assists in the preparation, transportation and supervision of patients. Meets physical comfort needs of patient. Reports emergencies and administer emergency treatment and performs other related duties as assigned. Scrubs instruments and equipment.
Works on call as scheduled. Performs general clerical duties by preparing, compiling and maintaining records in the CathLab. Schedule patients for surgery, treatments or test as indicated. Orders and stores supplies. Answers telephone. Assists physicians in locating patients’ films. Prepare routine, confidential and /or special reports, documents and records; assists with patient care/quality improvement audits.
Minimum Education: Graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technician preferred or has successfully
completed a related training in medical field.
Minimum Experience: 1 year experience in the CathLab or Operating Room
