We are looking for an IT Service Owner, Paper Manufacturing Solutions to join IT Services for Communication and Specialty papers. The position is located in Helsinki, Tampere or any UPM paper mill location in Finland.

As an IT Service Owner for UPM Communication and Speciality papers manufacturing area you will be in a key position in managing IT Service for UPM Paper Business Areas Mill Execution Systems (GMES). You will be working very closely with your business counterparts, IT colleagues and key suppliers to maintain and develop GMES systems based on business needs. What you will do

  • Be accountable for GMES IT services end-to-end towards UPM Paper businesses across the service lifecycle
  • Contribute to the projects and coordinate the establishment of new projects
  • Manage business relationship, demand and maintains a continuous dialog with business regarding process/solution improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate releases and manages user acceptance testing for GMES business releases
  • Be a single point of contact for business escalations
  • Provide clear service expectations towards enabling IT services (e.g. IT infra and platforms)
  • Ensure service breaks related communication and agrees planned service breaks with relevant IT and business counterparts
  • Be accountable for IT service documentation including application specifications and up-to-date CMDB
  • Represent GMES area in RUN and BUILD vendor governance (e.g. TietoEvry)

Who you are

  • You have a master’s degree in information technology or equivalent university degree
  • You have business process understanding in manufacturing area
  • You have minimum 5 years experience of managing and developing Mill Execution Systems (e.g. TietoEvry TIPS industry solutions)
  • You have proven skills to be able to lead, steer and manage solution related IT infrastructure and middleware (e.g. Servers, Databases, application virtualization)
  • You have good influencing and communication skills as well as strong drive, motivation and sense of accountability
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages like Finnish and German are seen as an asset
