Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a highly motivated Principal System Test Engineer (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

The selected candidate will provide support for all system test activities, to include test planning, creation of required test procedures, post test data analysis, creation of problem reports, and reporting on test results.

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in development, execution and peer review of test procedures
  • Participate in both Formal and Non-Formal Test execution events
  • Participate in test planning, problem report validation testing, and post testing data analysis
  • Provide support in the creation of required test artifacts used for official PCM and SRM releases to our customer
  • Attend and participate in all program specific System Test meetings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Top Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. NOTE: An interim Top Secret is required prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Demonstrated experience in in test program execution. (I.e. developing test procedures, implementing technical edits and successfully executing test protocols, etc.)
  • Must have the ability and be willing to work overtime, odd shifts, and weekends as required by the business

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline
  • Professional experience Developing System Test Procedures
  • Professional experience generating technical documents and working with various software/data processing tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and various programming languages
  • Professional experience with Software test automation
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
