The GAP Manager has full ownership and accountability for the strategic oversight, operational execution, and performance of the Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) product line. This role is responsible for driving product strategy, leading ideation, and executing enhancements to ensure the long-term success, scalability, and competitiveness of Allied’s GAP offerings. With broad decision-making authority, the GAP Manager independently manages the product roadmap, ensures regulatory compliance, and oversees end-to-end operational delivery across all platforms and channels. In this role, the GAP Manager leads a team responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the GAP product, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and client expectations. The position oversees all functions related to program setup, system configuration, claims support, and client implementation. Acting as the central point of contact for all things GAP, the Manager works cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Product, Claims, and Technology teams—as well as GAP carriers—to deliver compliant, efficient, and client-centric solutions. The GAP Manager governs the design and execution of programs, steers system enhancements (including iQQ and PIMS), and resolves complex client challenges with a strategic and proactive approach.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management - 30%
- Own the full lifecycle of the GAP product, maintaining a stable core offering while driving innovation and strategic expansion to support growth in new markets and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Lead forward-thinking initiatives to evolve and differentiate GAP offerings in response to emerging market dynamics, client expectations, and regulatory developments.
- Prioritize, scope, and submit enhancements for Allied’s point-of-sale system (iQQ) and internal platforms (PIMS), coordinating testing, implementation, and communication.
- Partner with the Director, Point of Sale Profitability & Compliance, to develop and maintain pricing strategies, including custom quotes and commission structures.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Claims, and Technology teams to identify innovation opportunities that enhance the GAP product line and support continued growth, market relevance, and competitive advantage.
- Represent the GAP product in enterprise initiatives, strategic planning sessions and cross-departmental working groups.
Compliance & Regulatory Governance - 20%
- Serve as the product compliance lead, ensuring GAP programs, forms, and processes adhere to federal and state regulations.
- Manage the configuration and maintenance of flex grids within Allied’s iQQ platform to ensure accurate population of state-specific program parameters, waivers, and coverage details on client-facing forms.
- Partner with Legal to maintain the form library, support regulatory reviews, and obtain required approvals from carriers and lenders.
- Oversee and approve lender-specific documentation, training materials, and product rollouts to ensure alignment with compliance standards and operational readiness.
- Ensure all operational workflows, client materials, and technology configurations accurately reflect compliant product terms, exclusions, and benefits.
Client & Sales Enablement - 20%
- Provide strategic guidance to Sales and Field teams for new business development, renewals, and client retention initiatives, contributing to proposals, product positioning, and marketing strategies.
- Serve as the strategic lead and GAP subject matter expert in client meetings, formal RFP responses, and sales presentations, offering consultative insight to drive business growth and competitive differentiation.
- Oversee client implementations and program transitions led by the team, ensuring seamless execution across systems, documentation, and client touchpoints; champion process improvements and apply lessons learned to strengthen future delivery.
- Lead the resolution of complex client inquiries, product challenges, and implementation issues through strategic problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and a client-first mindset.
Operational & Team Leadership - 30%
- Lead day-to-day operations and internal workflows to ensure team efficiency, data integrity, and alignment with strategic product goals.
- Oversee rate configuration, client service quality, and system accuracy across PIMS and iQQ.
- Review and approve commission worksheets, pricing updates, invoices, and remittance documentation.
- Manage, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment with clear goals and accountability.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement initiatives, cross-functional coordination, and strategic problem-solving.
- Support department growth through recruiting, onboarding, training plans, and performance management.
- Champion process improvement, documentation consistency, and knowledge sharing to strengthen cross-functional collaboration and organizational readiness.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or other related major, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years of work-related experience required.
- 3-4 years of leadership experience required.
