As a Large Enterprise SAP Solution Architect, you will be assigned to large strategic SAP opportunities early in the sales lifecycle from opportunity identification and you will be responsible to drive the overall architecture, and support as an SAP domain expert until deal closure. You will report to the SAP business leader and work closely with the sales and other solution towers in the opportunity.

You will be responsible to understand the client’s needs based on their business and ERP related pains and ambitions, and propose full stack SAP solutions, present the NTT Data Inc. differentiated value over competitor’s offerings; and support the SAP business leader and the client manager to offer a solution optimized on value and price, and to close the contract.

The ideal candidate must have deep experience in defining the high-level design and low-level design primarily for SAP S4/Hana based opportunities, with ability to integrate with the client’s surrounding legacy and COTS applications. Specifically, for SAP S/4 HANA, the skills, experience and certification on key modules such as FI, CO, MM, EAM, PP, SD, QM, and PS; and experience in SAP Business Technology Platform.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their business needs and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Design end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solutions that align with client requirements and industry best practices. Experience in Success Factors is preferred.
  • Collaborate with sales, delivery, and technical teams during the presales cycle, including RFP/RFI responses, presentations, and demos.
  • Lead client workshops and provide strategic advice on SAP solution adoption and transformation journeys.
  • Provide input into the estimation, planning, and delivery approach of proposed solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAP roadmaps and emerging technologies.
  • Provide deep expertise in the presales stage for SAP products and aforementioned modules, including migrations from SAP ECC 6 to S/4HANA, with full-cycle services from consulting, integration and AMS.
  • Experience in SAP Cloud ERP is an advantage.
  • Propose integration strategies for SAP solutions with existing systems such as CRM, HCM, analytics platforms, and peripheral enterprise applications, ensuring secure and efficient APIs.
  • Develop cost-optimized solutions aligned with client budgets, that deliver measurable business value through SAP solutions. Balance cost-efficiency with performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are supported by adequate IT infrastructure to meet performance and availability goals.
  • Develop high-quality, client-focused proposals, demos and presentations, articulate solution value propositions and differentiators to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across consulting, infrastructure, and cloud to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions. Also, work closely with SAP’s alliance, sales and presales professionals to plan and execute.
  • Promote structured SAP implementation methods and tools to ensure project success. Drive innovation by staying updated on SAP advancements, industry trends, and client needs.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong hands-on knowledge and certifications in at least four of the modules - FI, CO, MM, EAM, PP, SD, QM, and PS.
  • Experience in SAP Business Technology Platform is a definite advantage.
  • Proven experience in presales or customer-facing solution architect roles in a minimum of two full-cycle SAP S/4HANA large implementation or integration opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders; and strong problem-solving skills and a consultative approach to solutioning.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or any technology discipline would be desirable.
    • A total experience of 15+ years in ERP products and solution presales, with 10+ years of demonstrably successful experience in architecting large SAP opportunities. Experience in SAP Success Factors is an advantage.
    • Experience in modernized cloud environments and their integration with SAP solutions.
    • Prior experience in specific industry domains (e.g., public sector, retail, pharma, manufacturing) is a plus.
    • Familiarity with integration tools, APIs and CPI.
    • Familiarity with underlying IT infrastructure (e.g., cloud environments) supporting SAP applications.
    • Expertise in integrating SAP with other enterprise systems, including CRM, HCM, and data analytics.
    • Experience in managing SAP applications managed services contracts – system monitoring & support, SAP landscape management, proactive management, patch management & upgrades, compliance & reporting, and delivering SLA.
