Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Pricing, Market Access & Public Affairs Department at Santen EMEA. We are looking for a Senior Manager Market Access to support the Market Access team by leading access evidence strategies and representing the department as the single point of contact for all pricing, reimbursement, and HTA-related matters across the Glaucoma portfolio.

Location: Munich, Madrid, Milan, London, Amsterdam - We are open to candidates based in any of these locations.

What you will do:

  • Lead and execute access evidence strategies across the Glaucoma portfolio to ensure payer/HTA requirements are integrated early and consistently throughout the product life-cycle.
  • Prepare and implement robust access evidence plans to optimize reimbursement and market development for Glaucoma products/devices.
  • Define the payer value proposition and lead the development of pricing and reimbursement dossiers aligned with brand strategy.
  • Represent the PMA function in cross-functional teams and support brand planning and portfolio assessments.
  • Lead the development and implementation of EMEA HTA strategies, in collaboration with the HEOR/RWE lead, to support successful launches.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to EMEA senior management, offering insights into access dynamics, value pathways, and pricing risks/opportunities.
  • Anticipate pricing pressures, define mitigation actions, and support the creation of new reimbursement schemes and funding pathways.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including HTA bodies, Ministries of Health, and regulatory authorities.
  • Contribute to the setup and continuous refinement of EMEA-wide pricing and reimbursement policies, governance frameworks, and tracking systems.

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • Advanced degree in business science or related fields; postgraduate or doctorate degree in management, economics, or life sciences preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the healthcare industry with a strong track record in Market Access and Pricing, including successful product launches.
  • In-depth knowledge of European pricing mechanisms and regulatory frameworks (e.g. IRP interdependencies).
  • Strong negotiation capabilities, particularly with external stakeholders such as governments, payers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proven analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to build business cases and manage uncertainty.
  • Outstanding project management, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Functional fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Strong Excel/database skills, data-driven mindset, and structured approach to planning and implementation.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and navigate complex matrix environments; willing to travel 20–30% of the time.
