Description
SAIC is seeking a Communications Field Engineer experienced with Army Aviation and/or Ground radio communications systems for our Aerial Communications and Mission Command System Integration Lab (ACMC SIL) team in Huntsville, AL. The ACMC SIL team provides support to the ACMC product office for the purposes of guiding development of systems, testing systems, and supporting integration of these systems on Army Aviation platforms.
Preferred candidates will have 5 to 10 years of experience with existing communications systems such as the ARC-231 multiband aviation system and various ground systems such as the PRC-117G, the PRC-158 and the PRC-162. Experience with ancillary components of these systems is a plus, as well as experience with COMSEC and fill devices such as the Simple Key Loader (SKL) and the Panda.
Familiarity with relevant test equipment including spectrum analyzers and Bit Error Rate Testers is also a plus.
The minimum education requirement is an Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent military training.
