Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. The role involves complying with established test methods and standards, documenting all formulation processes, and functioning under sustained supervision. You will write simple reports outlining procedures and results, complete necessary forms and documents, and attend quality, safety, and technical meetings and seminars as required. You will also perform chemistry-based testing while adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Comply with test methods according to set standards.
• Document all formulation processes.
• Write simple reports outlining procedures used and the results obtained.
• Complete proper forms and documents when necessary.
• Attend quality, safety, and technical meetings and seminars as necessary.
• Comply with all safety and security regulations and maintain a clean work area.
• Communicate with internal as well as external customers.
• Manage work in accordance with timeline goals.
• Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times.
• Perform chemistry-based testing.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in viscosity, pH, wet chemistry, and paint testing.
• Experience working in a laboratory setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a science degree with paint lab experience.
• Candidates with associate degrees or previous lab experience without a degree will also be considered.
• Must not be color blind.

Work Environment

The position is for the first shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The work is conducted in a laboratory setting, which can be dusty or dirty at times. A lab coat, safety shoes, and protective eyewear will be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
