Job Title: Conventional Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Conventional Machinist to operate conventional lathe machines for the repair and overhaul of aircraft components. This position is for the 2nd shift, from 3 PM to 11:30 PM. The successful candidate will perform setups and work from drawings, sketches, and reverse engineering to achieve desired results. You will interact with shop personnel and engineering, utilizing equipment such as mills, lathes, and grinders.

Responsibilities

  • Operate conventional lathe machines for the repair and overhaul of aircraft components.
  • Perform setups and execute operations based on drawings, sketches, and reverse engineering.
  • Collaborate with shop personnel and engineering teams to ensure precision and quality.
  • Utilize equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders effectively.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in operating and setting up conventional lathe machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in machining with a focus on conventional machines.

Work Environment

This role is based in a Repair and Overhaul FAA Repair Station, specializing in landing components. The facility operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 3 PM to 11:30 PM. The environment is focused on precision machining and collaboration with a team dedicated to high-quality repair and overhaul services.

This is a Permanent position based out of Valencia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
