The Quality Control Lab Lead will ensure the quality and integrity of the coated seed products. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards of the seed coating processes and will support the seed enhancement line and bagging line operations as needed. This role will communicate effectively with staff and managers. Additional responsibilities around leading staff.

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Lab Lead will be responsible for overseeing various tasks related to testing raw and coated seed samples for moisture content and other quality attributes. This role requires strong attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the coating line personnel. The Quality Control Lab Lead will work closely with staff across the seed enhancement and high speed bagging line, as well as other quality control lab staff. Working collaboratively will be essential to this role as well as the ability to work independently and be self-motivated. The Quality Control Lab Lead will be cross trained on all aspects of the seed enhancement process.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• 1+ years of similar experience in increasingly responsible roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to make calculations.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work overtime hours as necessary.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be on call to provide remote assistance to workers on a second shift.

Preferred:

• Associate’s Degree.
• Prior experience in a seed warehouse or related field.
