$2,500 Sign-On Bonus

Purpose of Position:

As a Final Assembly Technician, you will perform the final mechanical and electrical integration of generator enclosures. This involves mounting major components, wiring control and house power systems, routing cables, and ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components: gensets, panels, exhaust, latches, conduit, and cable harnesses.
  • Execute electrical wiring and terminations per schematics and bill of materials.
  • Strip, crimp, and install load cables; mount grounding systems and ensure properly torqued hardware.
  • Coordinate with fabrication, welding, paint, and engineering teams to maintain assembly workflow.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and safety documentation.
  • Conduct functional and visual quality inspections at assembly completion.
  • Troubleshoot wiring/cable and mechanical fit issues, escalating as needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations, following tool and equipment SOPs.

Specific Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2–4 years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire schematics.
  • Proficient in wiring techniques including crimping, stripping, and terminal work.
  • Hand and power tool proficiency (multimeter, torque wrench, ratchets, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity; comfortable lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs; frequent standing, stooping, bending.
  • Detail-oriented with emphasis on quality and consistency.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Commitment to plant safety protocols and clean work environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Pass background check and drug test
  • Demonstrate ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure (test will be required)
