We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic, and experienced Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) (e.g., CNM preferred, WHNP, PA-C) to manage clinical operations and contribute oversight for our Centering Pregnancy Program. This position is responsible for providing direct prenatal care in group and ambulatory settings, co-managing program operations, and collaborating amongst Center staff to advance innovative, equitable models of maternal care.

The APC works closely with Centering program and department leadership, clinical teams, and hospital-based doulas to ensure integrated, high-quality, and culturally responsive prenatal care. This is a full-time, grant-funded position dedicated to improving birth outcomes and patient experience through coordinated and empowering care delivery.

Location:

  • Outpatient setting with frequent group facilitation and ambulatory care models.
  • Evening or weekends negotiable.
  • Periodic travel and support for professional development opportunities, Centering-related training and/or grant-related meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct prenatal care using the Centering Pregnancy group model in accordance with clinical guidelines and program standards and other ambulatory settings.
  • Act as a clinical mentor and resource for other providers and staff in the program and department.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between department leadership and clinical teams to align program strategy, resource needs, and outcomes.
  • Work directly with Center grant manager to achieve grant metrics and reporting
  • Oversee the Doula Support Program.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - preferred, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted license to practice as an APC in PA
  • Experience:

o Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in obstetrics, with experience in ambulatory care

o Experience with Centering Pregnancy or group prenatal care is strongly preferred.

o Experience working with doulas or community-based birth support programs is a plus.

o Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Skills:

o Excellent communication, facilitation, and team leadership skills.

o Cultural humility and demonstrated commitment to reproductive justice and health equity.

o Strong organizational and data-informed decision-making abilities.
