Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the daily operations of IT infrastructure components: Servers (physical and virtual), server virtualization infrastructure, Active Directory, enterprise storage, backup, messaging systems, and others
  • Responsibility for uptime availability, performance, and metrics of the above infrastructure
  • Provides technical expertise and troubleshooting of issues that disrupt critical business processes and provides analysis on required remediation that addresses root cause
  • Provide subject matter expertise to work alongside IT Delivery teams ensuring new technology is transitioned to Operations in an efficient manner with minimal disruption to normal service provided
  • Follow established ITIL guidelines for change management to ensure stability within IT Infrastructure
  • Create and maintain documentation, system standards and procedures for existing and new systems
  • Participate in IT Audit and Risk exercises to subjectively identify risks to the Bank’s IT Infrastructure and mitigate where possible.
  • Work with Information Security to evaluate penetration test findings and formulate plans to remediate the findings
  • Review daily checklist and system performance reports
  • Monitors daily team and individual ticket queues to ensure tickets are closed in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 12+ years of IT professional technical experience required
  • Experience with three or more of the following technologies:
  • NetApp or similar enterprise storage environment
  • VMware vSphere technologies, including NSX-T
  • Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 management
  • Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, LDAP/Kerberos Authentication
  • Enterprise level backup systems
  • Microsoft SCCM
  • Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, or Debian
  • Linux configuration management tools, Ansible, Chef, or SaltStack
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong documentation and process development skills are a must
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Excellent people skills. Must enjoy working with people at all levels of the organization, be customer service focused and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to influence and work effectively across functional teams
  • Cloud technologies, specifically Azure and AWS
