What You'll Do

Job Summary: The Construction Progress Validator focused on civil, structural, and architectural disciplines will oversee verification of construction progress related to steel fabrication, structural layouts, and architectural elements. The role requires construction expertise and the ability to interpret steel fabrication and layout drawings.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assess progress and quality of civil, structural, and architectural construction activities.
  • Read and interpret steel fabrication drawings and layout plans for accuracy.
  • Inspect construction work to verify compliance with design specifications and codes.
  • Work closely with construction teams to resolve deviations and document findings.
  • Provide comprehensive progress reports to project leadership.

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.

Licensing: No licensing is required for this position.

Experience: This position requires a minimum 3 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in construction with knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural practices.
  • Proficient in reading steel fabrication and layout drawings.
  • Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication capabilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.
  • Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.
