Senior Product Marketing Manager – Copilot Frontier

Help shape the future of work through AI innovation. We’re hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager – Copilot Frontier to join the Copilot Frontier & Future of Work team. This team explores the edge of what’s possible with AI, bringing early-stage, experimental products to life for the most curious and innovative users.

This role offers the opportunity to influence Microsoft’s AI strategy by launching groundbreaking products that redefine productivity and collaboration. You’ll work closely with engineering partners to develop and deliver preview experiences within the Frontier system -- our platform for early AI product exploration.

In this role, you’ll contribute to go-to-market strategy for early-stage AI products and collaborate closely with engineering to bring preview experiences to life within the Frontier system. You’ll help translate technical innovation into clear, accessible value for early adopters and AI-curious users.

Job Location: The primary location for this position is Redmond, WA. Additionally, there are three other locations where this role may be based. Candidates who do not reside in one of these four areas will be relocated to Redmond.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

  • Develop and execute inbound product marketing strategies to develop new AI features and products.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and landscape in the AI space to influence our roadmap.
  • Develop and partner with engineering teams to execute features that increase discovery.
  • Develop key Bills of Materials (BOMs) -- like demos, messaging documents, pitch decks, and more.
  • Establish a process to create a pipeline of features across many product and engineering teams and launch via the Frontier program.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams, product marketing, and outbound marketing teams to develop impactful product strategies.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, gather comprehensive customer and usage insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field AND 5+ years experience in product marketing within a technology-driven or large-scale organizational environment, or relevant experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field AND 3+ years experience in product marketing within a technology-driven or large-scale organizational environment, or relevant experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience influencing stakeholders and collaborating across cross-functional teams in dynamic, matrixed environments or organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with product and engineering teams to develop strategy and execute end-to-end marketing campaigns through product launch, with a focus on driving measurable impact.
  • 2+ years of experience with AI-powered tools or technologies (e.g., generative AI, Copilot, or similar platforms) in a professional setting, along with demonstrated business acumen and understanding of the AI market, including trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field AND 8+ years experience in product marketing within a technology-driven or large-scale organizational environment, or relevant experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in product marketing within a technology-driven or large-scale organizational environment, or relevant experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to interpret market intelligence to identify opportunities and define strategies.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
