Job Description:

Our Federal Engineered Systems Global Business Unit is a world-class leader in delivering Engineering and Technology enhancing solutions to Federal DoD and Civilian clients.

Parsons is seeking a Delivery Director to integrate and achieve operational capability for the systems and services required as part of the FAA/DOT/Administration’s brand new Air Traffic Control System.

Preference is for candidates located in the National Capital Region. Parsons will consider remote/hybrid employees with the expectation of 75% travel.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
  • Assigns responsibility for executing project plans in delivering systems and services to key subordinates.
  • Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
  • Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of the program delivery.
  • Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work; advises the client and company management of any such changes.
  • Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.
  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all program delivery activity.
  • Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution.
  • Establishes weekly meeting to review program delivery status, capture risks and formulate action plans to mitigate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must hold a bachelor’s of science degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 25+ years relevant experience
  • Must have experience at senior management level as well as having extensive experience in client or stakeholder facing roles.
  • Experience in technical deployment, installation and checkout plans for complex delivery of multiple products, systems and services into an operational environment
  • Knowledge and skills in testing and evaluation of new technologies for delivery into existing operations, with critical equipment within an 24/7 operational environment with minimal systems or services interruption or degradation of safety
  • Skills and experience in requirements validation, design, development, and delivery of new technologies while working across multiple companies who specialize in different technologies
  • Knowledge skills and experience in identifying and mitigating risks in development and delivery of new systems and services into other legacy systems and environments
  • Knowledge of the FAA or other ANSPs mission essential or mission critical
  • US Person

  • Has good background in strategy and engineering experience on mega projects.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in management of projects.
