Job Details:

SUMMARY: Responsible for using a pallet jack to move combos in and out of production as needed and communicate with control room on movements of product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Inspect pallet jack and check out/in daily
  • Use pallet jack to move combos into production
  • Communicate with control room on combos brought in production
  • Cover full combos
  • Move empty combos
  • Keep the area clean
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to obtain the pallet jacket & forklift certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to wear, use and maintain personal protective equipment
  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months of production experience preferred

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to read the labels with product name and number

Physical Requirements / Environment:

  • Stand/Walk: Continuously
  • Grasp: Frequently
  • Lift/Carry: Frequently (up to 20lbs.)
  • Push/Pull: Frequently (5 to 25 lbs.)
  • Physical Environment: Continuously: Working around moving machinery, working in a damp, slippery and cold environment (Below 35° F)
  • Other Physical Requirements:
    • Bend/Stoop: Occasionally

External Requirement: 6-month production experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).

This facility accepts rehires after 90 days from last day worked but does not accept candidates who have worked for Tyson three (3) or more times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
